Shift Details

Day 3x12-Hour Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

Available Start Dates: October & November

Requirements

• Active California RN License
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
• Experience with A-lines, phlebotomy, central lines, chest tubes, ventilators, telemetry, and IV starts
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Nih Stroke Scale certification is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Pulmonary Artery Lines
• Experience with Intracranial Pressure (ICP) monitoring
• Experience with BSN

Patient Population

Experience in the following areas is preferred:

• Cardiac
• Neuro
• General
• Stroke
• Medical and Surgical
• Kidney and Liver Transplant
• Trauma

Scheduling Details

• 4-week schedule provided two weeks in advance
• No blocked or self-scheduling available
• Staff will be notified of location for each shift two hours in advance

Float Pool Locations

RNs may be required to work at multiple locations, including:

• Thornton, La Jolla, CA
• Jacobs, La Jolla, CA
• Hillcrest, CA
• East Campus, La Mesa, CA

Additional Notes

Holiday Requirements: RNs must work 2 out of the 3 following holidays:

• Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
• Thanksgiving Day and the following day
• New Year's Eve and New Year's Day

Other Information

Candidates will float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on patient census and unit requirements.

Medical exemptions are required for the flu vaccine.

References from 2 previous managers are required to validate qualifications.

Background checks will be conducted prior to approval.

Please note, staff must be away for one year to return as a traveler.
