Experience Experience: Mid Level Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year Job Details Responsibilities Lead all core accounting functions: GL, month-end close, and financial reporting Oversee project-based accounting across multiple contracts Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations and cost allowability standards Manage indirect rates (fringe, overhead, G&A) and maintain accurate cost pools Support contract structures including: Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) – cost control, inventory/BOM accuracy, margin management Cost-Plus – strict cost tracking and regulatory compliance Partner closely with operations on manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, and BOM oversight Evaluate and improve internal controls, processes, and reporting accuracy Help scale and mentor a small, growing accounting team Qualifications Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus) 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership Background in engineering and/or manufacturing environments Strong experience in government contracting (GovCon) Proven expertise in project accounting and cost accounting Experience supporting FFP and/or Cost-Plus contract structures Comfortable in a hands-on, build-out environment Systems Deltek Costpoint (highly preferred) Strong ERP experience required A bit about us: We are a well-established engineering organization supporting complex, project-driven work within regulated environments.
