As part of a highly valued team, youll contribute your expertise to one or more schools, helping students thrive in and out of the classroom.

Youll serve in an itinerant capacity, working closely with both general health room responsibilities and/or providing dedicated one-to-one care. Specific caseloads and daily duties may vary, and theres flexibility to match your interestswhether you prefer a traditional health room setting, personalized 1:1 care, or both.

Qualifications:

• Current, active Michigan RN license
• Experience or strong interest in school nursing or a pediatric healthcare setting
• Adaptable and able to work independently across school sites
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with a collaborative team spirit
• Willingness to complete all required credentialing, including background check and fingerprinting
• Comfortable working with IEP systems preferred, but not required

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to students; administer medications, manage chronic conditions, and respond to health emergencies as needed
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records utilizing the IEP system
• Communicate and collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student health plans
• Educate students and staff on wellness, disease prevention, and health maintenance
• Participate in district-level meetings and contract review processes
