Job Title: EEG Technician Profession: Operations Specialty: Medical Group Operations Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: BLS, EEG certification (unless grandfathered in from experience) Must-Have: Neonatal experience, electrode placement, prepping patients, recording/measuring, pattern recognition, wrapping head for continuous EEG Description: The position involves performing EEG tests on patients. Patient populations include neonates to geriatric patients. Conditions assessed include seizures, strokes, gunshot victims, autism, ADHD, pseudo-seizures, and trauma. The technician will work with a patient ratio of 1:1. Support is available from other EEG technicians and rapid response teams. Charting will be conducted using preferred software systems. The role may require floating to the ICU. Weekend rotation is mandatory, with expectations to work on holidays if it falls on scheduled workdays. scrub color is Caribbean Blue.
