Position Type:  Direct Hire
Location:  Greater Lake Jackson Area
Schedule: On-site 3–4 days per week during the first 2 months for training; after onboarding, the role transitions to a mix of field work and in-office meetings

A local fabrication company is hiring a  Fabrication Sales Specialist who will build customer relationships, support ongoing project needs, and help grow accounts.

The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-moving fabrication environment. They enjoy being out in the field meeting customers, communicating clearly, solving problems, and partnering with internal teams to keep projects moving smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts
• Conduct regular check-ins, follow-ups, and site visits to support customer needs
• Understand customer goals and recurring fabrication requirements
• Coordinate with Estimating, Production, Procurement, Project Management, and Operations
• Communicate customer expectations, priorities, and schedules clearly to internal teams
• Ensure smooth handoff from opportunity development to execution
• Identify and resolve customer concerns proactively
• Support customers with change orders, schedule updates, and scope clarification
• Prospect for new business through outreach, networking, and referrals
• Identify opportunities for repeat work and account expansion
• Drive opportunities from initial contact through awarded work
• Track industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging market opportunities
• Share relevant market insights with leadership
• Participate in networking events and industry activities
• Maintain accurate CRM records, bid history, and customer interactions
• Provide pipeline updates, revenue summaries, and forecasts
• Prepare sales documentation, reports, and customer communication
• Communicate risks, priorities, and project conditions to internal teams
• Support kickoff meetings, scope changes, and contract discussions

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience handling customer relationships, account management, or coordination roles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts or opportunities in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational discipline with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Self-motivated and capable of working independently
• Customer-focused mindset with a solutions-oriented approach

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or related field
• Experience in customer success, account management, or handling customer relationships roles. Understanding of fabrication processes, industry standards, and shop workflow
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales pipeline management
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and related applications
• Ability to present professionally to customers, leadership groups, and technical stakeholders
