Exciting Opportunity for Oncology Nurses!

Job Description:


- Shift: 19:00 - 07:00
- Location: Dallas, TX
- Unit: BMT Unit
- Total Beds: 40 (20 on each floor)
- Target Patient Ratios: 1:3 (stretch to 1:4)

- Essential Qualifications:
- Oncology experience required
- Chemo Certification mandatory
- ACLS certification required to start

- Unit Composition:
- Dedicated unit secretaries and techs available
- Staffing: 2 PCTs in the AM, 1 PCT in the PM

- Technology and Equipment:
- Bedside monitors mounted on walls
- Bedside computers
- Lift assist devices available

- Documentation System: Meditech

- Scheduling Requirements:
- Rotating weekends
- Floating policy: Travelers float first

- Patient Experience Requirements:
- Bedside shift reports
- Safety rounds
- Manage team up
- No Pass Zone

- Certifications Required:
- BLS and ACLS
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification

- Desired Skill Set:
- BMT experience preferred
- Ability to read telemetry and monitor simple titration of drips preferred
- Excellent assessment skills required

- Procedures Performed on Unit:
- Infrequent BM biopsies

- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs

- Unit Guidelines/Policies:
- Please inquire for specific policies and guidelines.

- Five-time accreditation by FACT
- Perform autologous and allogeneic transplants, including related, unrelated, haplo-match, and mismatch donors, as well as CAR-T therapies
- Awesome teamwork and a welcoming atmosphere for floats and contract employees
