Real Estate Accountant

Job Description A growing commercial real estate investment and management firm is seeking a Real Estate Accountant to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain hands‑on experience supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial properties while learning from an experienced team. Key Responsibilities Assist with the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Prepare monthly financial statements for an assigned portfolio of commercial properties. Reconcile bank accounts, tenant receivables, and operating expenses. Process accounts payable and assist with cash management activities. Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and CAM reconciliations. Work closely with Property Managers to resolve accounting inquiries and ensure accurate financial reporting. Maintain accounting records and assist with audits and other special projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1–3 years of accounting experience (commercial real estate or property accounting experience is required). Strong Excel skills and attention to detail. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
