Staff Accountant

The Thomas Keller Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. This position has the potential to be a hybrid role based out of our corporate offices in Yountville, CA, or a fully remote position.

Your Role

This position requires strong analytical thinking, financial reporting, and verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should possess the knowledge and the flexibility to do a variety of projects.

Candidates with previous finance experience in a multi-unit hospitality environment are preferred.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Support team of Senior Accountants in their day to day responsibilities
• Ensure that Daily Sales Summaries are approved in a timely manner
• Record bank activity daily
• Assist with maintaining a clean balance sheet reconciliation
• Book monthly journal entries including but not limited to accruals and month end adjustments
• Assist in preparing and filing sales tax returns
• Complete other requested projects as assigned

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred 
• 3 years of progressive experience in a similar capacity
• Experience using  Restaurant365or a similar accounting system
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Familiar with point-of-sales systems such as Toast
• Must be physically able to reach, bend, stoop and carry up to 40 pounds and utilize stairs regularly
