QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE: Attorneys with 0–2 years of experience/new bar admit are encouraged to apply. Business and/or real estate litigation experience in Los Angeles County courts is a plus. LICENSE: Must be an active member in good standing with the California State Bar. EDUCATION: JD from an accredited law school. LOCATION: Live and work experience in LA County. COMMUNICATION: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Spanish Speaking Optional. CHARACTER Detail-oriented, diligent, and eager to learn. Receptive to feedback and direction; demonstrates coachability. Proactive mindset with the ability to grow into working independently. Strong problem‑solving instincts and solid work ethic. Professional demeanor and presentation. TECHNOLOGY: Advanced skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Adobe, Dropbox, Zoom, Slack, Asana, Lexis, Rutter’s Guides. Home office in a quiet professional location (no background noise). REFERENCES: Trustworthy, dependable, and clear background report. JOB DESCRIPTION: RESEARCH, DRAFTING, & DOCUMENTATION Review case files including intakes, court case summaries, court filings, evidence, etc. Legal Research Memos using: Rutter’s Guides, Annotated Codes, Lexis/Westlaw, Google, etc. Draft and respond to legal documents in all practice areas including but not limited to real estate and business: Demand Letters Pleadings Discovery/Responses/Motions Case Management Memos/Statements Trial Documents: Briefs, Witness Lists, and Exhibit Lists Assign, supervise, revise, and sign all substantive documents that paralegals prepare. Document billable hours per client per month pursuant to approved budgets. RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Communicate/ meet & confer with opposing counsel. Communicate with clients by telephone, Zoom video, and/or email. Supervise Paralegals including revising and finalizing work product including Pleadings, Motions re: Service, Motions re: Default, Post Judgment, etc. COURT APPEARANCES (Phone, Video, and/or In‑Person – only if required) Case Management Conferences/Status/Trial Setting/Final Status Conferences Motions Depositions/Mediations BILLABLE HOURS Billable Hour Requirement: Minimum 6.0 hours per day Bonus: 6.5‑8+ hours per day HOW TO APPLY: Describe your prior experience and qualifications for this position.
