Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and facility equipment
  • Reassemble machines after repairs or preventive maintenance work is completed
  • Start and test machinery after repairs to verify proper operation and efficiency
  • Inspect damaged machine parts, identify defects, and communicate repair needs to supervisors
  • Lubricate machines, components, and equipment according to maintenance schedules and procedures
  • Install, replace, and adjust machine parts and attachments to meet production requirements
  • Dismantle machines and remove components for repair or replacement
  • Read work orders and specifications to determine maintenance priorities and repair needs
  • Set up and operate machines as needed while adjusting controls to regulate operations
  • Record production, repair, and maintenance activity accurately in logs or database systems
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to repair or relocate equipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Apprenticeship or technical training preferred
  • 1-2 years of maintenance mechanic or related industrial maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of machines, tools, repair methods, and preventive maintenance practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs efficiently
  • Familiarity with email systems and preventive maintenance database software
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability in a manufacturing environment
