POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery, equipment, and systems in accordance with safety, quality, and operational standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.

· Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and perform repairs as needed.

· Inspect, test, and diagnose machine malfunctions using tools and technical manuals.

· Install new machinery or equipment and ensure proper operation.

· Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.

· Assist with facility maintenance including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.

· Follow safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

· Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize downtime.

· Collaborate with other departments to support production goals.

· Ability to train other maintenance techs when applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS : Must be able to perform each essential duty daily.

· Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, ideally diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

· Familiarity with hand and power tools, welding, and fabrication a plus.

· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

· Willingness to work various shifts, including nights or weekends, or holidays as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. · Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 65 pounds occasionally.

· Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods.

· Physically fit to work in an industrial environment and tolerate exposure to varying physical conditions.

· Must be able to work extended hours when necessary.

· Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools, equipment, and safety devices.

· Tolerance to loud noises, vibrations, dust, heat, and fumes within a fabrication shop environment.

· Ability to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) includes safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, high visibility clothing, and hearing protection.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Industrial warehouse and manufacturing environment with heavy machinery, and overhead cranes.

· Strict adherence to safety procedures and use of PPE is mandatory at all times.

· Frequent interaction with production staff, supervisors, safety personnel, and quality control teams.

· Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, depending on seasonal conditions.
