Industrial Maintenance Technician

Clean Harbors located in La Porte, TX is looking to add an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their team. The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing hands‑on maintenance activities required to keep the plant operational, including pump rebuilds, piping, insulation, pneumatics, electrical, and preventative maintenance tasks. Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM; rotating mandatory Saturday coverage 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Pay: $28–35 DOE Why work for Clean Harbors? Health and safety is our #1 priority. Responsibilities Ensure health and safety is the number one goal by following policies and acting safely. Perform maintenance activities including pump rebuilds, preventative maintenance, basic pipe installation, and electrical work. Perform basic repairs and upkeep in the welding, electrical, piping, and mechanical disciplines. Assist higher‑level maintenance personnel on large, complex maintenance activities. Operate a forklift if required and trained. Ensure work meets all applicable health and safety standard operating procedures. Ensure compliance with facility operation standards. Maintain a clean work environment. Review applicable SOPs annually and achieve satisfactory scores on SOP quizzes. Manage supplies in your area of responsibility, applying proper housekeeping and best practices. Adhere to all applicable CHES policies and SOPs. Perform job functions in compliance with company Clean Compliance standard. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management and as needed by the Clean Harbors business. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Five or more years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting required. Ability to work in a team environment. Proficiency in electrical, pipe fitting, mechanical, and/or welding preferred. Previous experience in preventative maintenance or basic installations at a facility preferred.
