Location: Baltimore County & Baltimore City Maryland Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Contract — Flexible Work Setting: Clinical / Outpatient Setting with Hybrid Opportunities Position Overview Location: Baltimore County & Baltimore City Maryland Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Contract — Flexible Work Setting: Clinical / Outpatient Setting with Hybrid Opportunities We are seeking a compassionate, culturally responsive, and highly skilled Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to join our growing interdisciplinary clinical team. The primary focus of this position is conducting comprehensive psychological and diagnostic evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults presenting with concerns related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental differences, behavioral challenges, emotional functioning, learning concerns, and other behavioral health or neurodevelopmental conditions. The psychologist will manage the evaluation process from clinical intake and test selection through administration, interpretation, diagnostic formulation, report writing, and feedback. In addition to psychological evaluations, the psychologist may occasionally provide clinical consultation and supervision related to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services , including collaboration with BCBAs, RBTs, families, and other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Required Licensure Applicants must: Hold an active Maryland Psychologist license (PhD or PsyD) Be in good standing with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists Maintain all continuing education, ethical, and professional requirements associated with Maryland licensure Meet applicable payer credentialing requirements for psychological assessment and behavioral health services Key Responsibilities Psychological Evaluations & Diagnostic Assessment The psychologist's primary responsibility will be conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments. Responsibilities may include: Conduct clinical and diagnostic intake interviews with clients and/or caregivers Review developmental, behavioral, psychiatric, educational, medical, and psychosocial histories Determine appropriate testing batteries based on presenting concerns and referral questions Conduct comprehensive psychological and neurodevelopmental evaluations Evaluate concerns related to ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual and developmental functioning, emotional and behavioral functioning, executive functioning, and other diagnostic questions Administer, score, interpret, and integrate standardized psychological assessment measures Review relevant medical, educational, behavioral, IEP, 504 Plan, and previous evaluation records when clinically appropriate Obtain collateral information from parents, caregivers, schools, physicians, therapists, and other providers when appropriate and properly authorized Integrate assessment findings with clinical interviews, behavioral observations, history, and collateral information Develop appropriate diagnostic impressions and differential diagnoses Identify co-occurring behavioral health and neurodevelopmental conditions when supported by the evaluation Prepare comprehensive, clinically sound, and timely psychological evaluation reports Provide feedback sessions to clients, parents, caregivers, and/or authorized treatment team members Clearly explain diagnoses, clinical findings, recommendations, and appropriate next steps Develop individualized recommendations for behavioral health treatment, ABA therapy, psychotherapy, speech-language services, educational supports, occupational therapy, community resources, and other services when clinically indicated Assessment Tools The psychologist should have experience administering and/or interpreting standardized assessment instruments appropriate to their scope of practice. Depending on referral questions and clinical necessity, measures may include instruments assessing: Autism spectrum symptoms and social communication ADHD and attention Cognitive and intellectual functioning Adaptive functioning Executive functioning Behavioral and emotional functioning Anxiety and mood Academic and learning concerns Social functioning Developmental functioning The psychologist will exercise independent clinical judgment when selecting assessment instruments and determining the appropriate scope of each evaluation. ABA Clinical Consultation & Supervision While psychological evaluation is the primary focus of this position, the psychologist may occasionally support the organization's ABA program based on clinical need, scope of practice, payer requirements, and organizational needs. Responsibilities may include: Provide clinical consultation regarding ABA clients with complex behavioral, developmental, or diagnostic presentations Review psychological and diagnostic information relevant to ABA treatment planning Collaborate with BCBAs and other ABA clinical professionals regarding treatment recommendations Provide appropriate clinical oversight or supervision when required and permitted within the psychologist's scope of practice Support coordination between psychological evaluation findings and behavioral treatment planning Participate in interdisciplinary case consultation Assist with clinical decision-making when diagnostic, behavioral health, or psychological concerns affect ABA treatment Provide consultation regarding referrals for additional behavioral health or psychological services Support continuity of care between psychological testing, ABA therapy, psychotherapy, speech therapy, and other recommended services ABA-related responsibilities will be assigned in accordance with Maryland law, professional scope of practice, payer requirements, credentialing requirements, and applicable clinical supervision standards. Clinical Collaboration The psychologist will work as part of an interdisciplinary clinical environment and may collaborate with: BCBAs Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) Therapists and behavioral health clinicians Speech-language professionals Physicians and other medical providers Case managers School personnel when authorized and clinically appropriate Parents and caregivers Community-based organizations and referral partners The psychologist may also provide clinical consultation to organizational leadership and clinical staff regarding psychological assessment, diagnostic issues, treatment recommendations, and continuity of care. Documentation, Compliance & Quality Assurance The psychologist will: Complete evaluation reports and clinical documentation within established organizational and payer timelines Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical records Ensure documentation supports medical necessity and services rendered Follow applicable Maryland regulations and professional standards Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Follow ethical standards established by applicable professional and licensing authorities Maintain appropriate documentation supporting assessment administration, scoring, interpretation, diagnosis, and recommendations Participate in clinical quality assurance and documentation reviews when appropriate Maintain all required licenses, credentials, continuing education, and professional liability coverage as applicable Collaborate with administrative and billing teams to resolve documentation or authorization issues when necessary Qualifications Required: Doctoral degree ( PhD or PsyD ) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, or another qualifying psychology discipline Active and unrestricted Maryland psychologist license Experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations Strong diagnostic and differential-diagnosis skills Experience evaluating children, adolescents, adults, or a combination of populations Demonstrated knowledge of neurodevelopmental and behavioral health conditions Experience administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized psychological assessments Strong clinical interviewing skills Excellent psychological report-writing skills Ability to communicate complex clinical findings clearly to clients and families Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to independently manage an evaluation caseload while meeting documentation deadlines Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary clinical team Preferred Experience conducting ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder evaluations Experience evaluating both pediatric and adult populations Experience with comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments Experience working with ABA programs or individuals receiving ABA services Knowledge of ABA treatment models and interdisciplinary behavioral health care Experience working with Medicaid and commercial insurance populations Familiarity with medical necessity and prior authorization requirements for psychological testing Experience working with underserved and culturally diverse populations Knowledge of Baltimore City and Baltimore County communities Experience with trauma-informed and culturally responsive assessment practices Bilingual abilities are welcomed but not required Schedule & Work Environment This position offers flexibility while maintaining a strong commitment to client access and continuity of care. Services may include: In-person psychological testing and assessment In-person clinical consultation Telehealth clinical intakes when clinically appropriate Telehealth feedback sessions when appropriate Remote report writing and documentation Virtual interdisciplinary consultation and supervision when permitted Scheduled in-person clinical days based on testing and client needs Because psychological testing frequently requires direct client interaction, candidates must be available for regular in-person assessment services in the Baltimore area.
