Forklift Operator

About the Opportunity As a Non-Ferrous Forklift Operator at EMR, you’ll play a key role in our daily operations at our New Orleans, LA site. In this role, you will be assisting customers, transferring material to the proper location, preparing it for shipment and loading the outbound shipment. This career requires experience of providing a high level of customer service and excellent attention to safety. Key Responsibilities Load and unload scrap metal materials, bales, bins, boxes, crates, etc. onto and from customer trailers, truck beds, bins, and other cargo as needed Identify, sort, label, move and transfer metal materials Ensure a clean and orderly workplace; clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards Adhere to, evaluate and maintain proper service logs and maintenance requirements Follow production plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols Qualifications Ability to work independently while multitasking Ability to operate equipment safely Ability to lift over 50 pounds Excellent customer service skills Compensation and Benefits Full-time, year-round PTO and 8 paid company holidays Medical and dental insurance Employer paid vision insurance Employer paid life insurance HSA and FSA with employer contribution 401(k) with company match #LI-Onsite IND01 #J-18808-Ljbffr
