Play Time Early Childhood Enrichment Center is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our exceptional team!

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will work alongside the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where preschoolers can grow, explore, and thrive. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the daily care and supervision of preschoolers

• Supporting the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities

• Encouraging children's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development

• Monitoring and documenting children's progress and needs

• Building positive relationships with families through daily communication

• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment

• Following all center policies, procedures, and licensing requirements

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's Degree, associate degree, CDA, or CPL Level 3 in Early Childhood Education or a related field

• Knowledge of child development and best practices in infant care

• Current or willingness to obtain required ODJFS certifications:

  • CPR

  • First Aid

  • Child Abuse Recognition and Prevention

  • Communicable Disease Training

• Ability to complete 30 hours of approved Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) training every two years

• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

• A genuine passion for working with young children
