Employment Specialist

We are seeking an Employment Specialist to provide vocational services and employment support as part of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team. This individual will assist participants in achieving their employment goals through assessments, career development, job readiness training, job placement support, and ongoing retention services. The role requires a proactive professional who can build employer relationships, conduct community outreach, and facilitate employment-focused workshops. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized employment services, including vocational assessments, job readiness training, job search assistance, job placement support, and retention services. Develop and maintain relationships with employers, community organizations, and workforce partners to identify employment opportunities. Create and manage job banks and employment resources for participants. Conduct individual and group vocational counseling sessions. Provide workplace coaching, employment follow-up, and support to promote successful job retention. Monitor participant progress toward employment goals and maintain accurate documentation. Complete assessments and support participants in achieving employment-related recovery and self-sufficiency goals. Facilitate employment readiness, pre-employment, and retention-focused workshops and groups. Conduct program presentations, outreach activities, and community networking efforts to increase referrals and awareness. Track employment outcomes, job placements, retention milestones, and participant engagement. Maintain data and reporting requirements using AWARDS, ACE Portal, Microsoft Excel, and other required systems. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate services and support participant success. Participate in staff meetings, supervision, training sessions, and case conferences. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience working in vocational services, workforce development, employment programs, or related human services environments. Experience conducting job development, employer outreach, community networking, presentations, and recruitment activities. Strong organizational skills with experience in data tracking and reporting. Preferred Qualifications Experience using AWARDS Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Experience supporting individuals with behavioral health or mental health needs. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus. Valid driver's license is a plus.
