Senior Business Analyst

Job Description

Our Client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the assessment and documentation of its current Health Information Exchange technology environment. This individual will partner with business, technical, and end-user stakeholders to evaluate existing systems. Their goal is to understand critical functionality as well as workflows, then translate findings into clear business and functional requirements. A key focus will be identifying the capabilities and user experiences that must be maintained in a new technology environment. Ideally, the requirements gathered will provide useful insight for improving user experience as the client evaluates moving to a new system. There is potential for this individual to exceed expectations by identifying key areas for future efficiency gains through AI. The analyst will assess a complex healthcare technology ecosystem spanning integration and routing, outbound data services, data quality and terminology, master patient index, clinical data repository, provider-facing applications, analytics, and identity management.

This is a project-based contract role, to be executed remotely on a part-time basis (approx. 10 weeks, 20 hours per week). There's potential for increased hours and/or contract extensions based on consultant performance and business needs.

Skills and Requirements

· 5+ years of Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or related experience with strong requirements gathering and documentation expertise

· Experience within healthcare technology, healthcare data, HIE, interoperability, or clinical information systems

· Proven ability to evaluate current-state systems and workflows and translate stakeholder needs into business requirements, functional requirements, process flows, and use cases

· Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to bridge business, end-user, and technical teams · Experience with healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7, FHIR, APIs, interfaces, or healthcare data exchange

· Familiarity with Rhapsody, InterSystems HealthShare, MedicaSoft, Clinical Architecture, Verato, or comparable HIE technologies

· Experience supporting technology modernization, platform migration, vendor evaluation, or current-state/future-state assessments

· Experience with requirements traceability, acceptance criteria, UAT, and solution validation
