Job Description
Job Description
Description:
Imagine Children's Museum is looking for a Public and Community Programs Coordinator. The behind-the-scenes force who turns a great program idea into a fully staged, fully stocked, ready-to-go experience for families walking through our doors.
One day you're organizing glitter and paint, the next, you're confirming load-in times with a guest performer, prepping activity kits for a weekend festival, or troubleshooting a last-minute A/V hiccup five minutes before doors open. You're the calm, organized hub connecting artists, vendors, volunteers, and the Public Programs team, making sure everyone has what they need, when they need it, so the fun part of the program can just happen.
You'll thrive in this role if you:
- Get genuine satisfaction from a well-labeled storage shelf and a perfectly timed checklist
- Can juggle five moving parts (and five different personalities) without breaking a sweat
- Love being the go-to person vendors and performers trust to keep things running smoothly
- Want your work to directly fuel joyful, hands-on experiences for kids and families
- Don't mind trading a typical 9-to-5 for evenings and weekends when the Museum comes alive
What you'll actually be doing: Scheduling and logistics. Materials prep and inventory. Coordinating performers, artists, and community partners. Setting the stage, literally, for programs, festivals, and outreach events both on-site and out in the community.
If you're an organized self-starter who finds purpose in the prep work that makes playful experiences possible, we'd love to meet you.
Come be the reason the show goes on!
