Senior Consultant – Data Architecture & Metadata ManagementEclipse Consulting Group partners with highly regulated, data-intensive organizations to solve complex business, risk, and technology challenges. Our consultants help clients modernize enterprise data capabilities, strengthen governance, and deliver strategic transformation initiatives across financial services and other regulated industries.We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant – Data Architecture & Metadata Management to support a leading financial services client in New York City.The successful candidate will partner with business and technology stakeholders to design scalable enterprise data solutions, strengthen metadata capabilities, and support governance initiatives across complex financial services environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead enterprise data architecture initiatives supporting strategic business and regulatory programs.Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business capabilities and enterprise objectives.Lead metadata management and data governance initiatives, including business glossary development, data lineage, stewardship models, ownership frameworks, and enterprise data catalog implementation.Partner with business, technology, architecture, analytics, and regulatory stakeholders to translate complex data concepts into practical business solutions and executive recommendations.Conduct current-state assessments, develop future-state roadmaps, and produce executive-ready architecture documentation and client deliverables.Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure enterprise data architecture aligns with business requirements and technology platforms.Support enterprise regulatory, risk, and compliance initiatives through effective data architecture, metadata management, and governance practices.Provide technical leadership, mentor junior consultants, and contribute to successful project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.8+ years of consulting or industry experience in enterprise data management, data architecture, metadata management, or data governance.Experience delivering enterprise data initiatives within financial services or other highly regulated industries.Strong expertise in:Enterprise Data ArchitectureBusiness ArchitectureMetadata ManagementData GovernanceBusiness GlossariesData LineageData StewardshipConceptual, Logical, and Physical Data ModelingHands-on experience with enterprise metadata and governance platforms such as Collibra or similar solutions.Experience working with enterprise technologies such as:SnowflakeDatabricksKafkaTalendErwinER/StudioUnderstanding of Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Lakehouse architectures, and cloud data management principles.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technology teams.Proven ability to lead workstreams, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality consulting engagements.Preferred QualificationsPrevious management consulting experience.Experience supporting enterprise regulatory, risk compliance, or data transformation initiatives.Knowledge of BCBS 239, enterprise data governance frameworks, metadata management, or enterprise data operating models.CDMC (Cloud Data Management Capabilities) certification or related certifications are a plus.Experience working in Agile delivery environments.The Eclipse WayPassion – We bring energy, ownership, and commitment to every engagement.Continuous Improvement – We continuously improve ourselves, our clients, and the solutions we deliver.Meritocracy – We recognize and reward performance, initiative, and meaningful contribution.Teamwork – We believe the best outcomes come from collaboration, trust, and shared success.Customer Commitment – We build lasting client relationships through quality, integrity, and execution.Ingenuity – We solve complex business problems with thoughtful, practical, and innovative solutions.Why Join EclipseJoin Eclipse Consulting Group to deliver enterprise-scale data architecture and metadata management initiatives for leading financial institutions.
