Radiation Therapist

The Radiation Therapist performs routine and specialized radiation treatments for patients, following physician-developed treatment plans. The role requires independent operation, clinical judgment, and effective communication to ensure safe, accurate, and timely delivery of therapy.

Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation treatments according to prescribed protocols and safety standards.
• Assess patient status, monitor responses, and adjust procedures as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of treatment sessions and patient progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout treatment.
• Orient and train staff on department procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARRT certification and valid CA State License.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Elekta, Mosaiq, and AlignRT systems.
• Possess at least 2 years of experience in radiation therapy.
• Be flexible with work hours, available between 6AM and 12PM shift start.
• Maintain current certifications such as AHA or ARC with valid expiration dates.
• Have strong clinical judgment and attention to patient safety.
