Retirement Eligibility: Not Retirement Eligible Position Overview The Chemistry Department is seeking a research assistant to work in the lab of Dr. Paul Marshall. Research areas include chlorine and hydroxyl reactions with halogenated compounds in the gas phase, using an infrared apparatus. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field. Training with lab safety and laboratory experience in a research context. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Ability to work individually or collaboratively. Ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively. Knowledge of lab safety procedures. Experience with laboratory research. Job Duties Participate in weekly meetings. Assist Principal Investigator (PI), post doctoral scientists, and graduate researchers in lab. Physical Requirements Communicating with others to exchange information. Environmental Hazards No adverse environmental conditions expected.
