Affirm’s Hiring an Accounting Lead (Remote)! Be a Part of a Growing Fintech Company Do you have a passion for accounting and a knack for streamlining processes? In this remote role, you’ll lead our accounting team through the month-end closing process, ensuring everything runs smoothly and accurately. You’ll also help improve our accounting systems and play a key role in maintaining compliance. Here’s what you’ll do: Prepare and review journal entries for cash, investments, and intercompany transactions. Lead the close process for these areas, ensuring high-quality work. Analyze and reconcile accounts to maintain accuracy. Coach and mentor accounting staff members. Identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to streamline processes. Help design and implement new accounting policies and procedures. Support internal and external audits. You’re a perfect fit if you have: 5+ years of accounting experience (public and private a plus). Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting standards. Experience with general ledger accounting (Sr. Accountant/Manager level). Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Top-notch organization and time management skills. Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.). A desire to learn and improve processes.
