Position Title: Regional Dietitian Wellbeing Director- Allergen Management- Costa Mesa, CA

Reports To: Division Wellbeing Director

Location: Must live within a commutable distance to Costa Mesa or Long Beach

Job Duties: Primary role is to lead the development, integration, and execution of allergen labeling and management across the portfolio, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Compass Group and Eurest standards. This role will serve as the subject matter expert in allergen management, partnering with culinary, QA, operations, procurement, and technology teams to establish best-in-class labeling processes, training, and compliance. 25% of schedule will be traveling to other locations outside of California.

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Salary: $110,000-$120,000

Other Forms of Compensation: CEU's, AND and CDR dues paid, tuition and education reimbursement

Allergen Management & Program Strategy

• Serve as the single point of contact and subject matter expert for allergen management and portfolio-level visibility.
• Acts as an allergen management resource for clients, customers and associate questions and concerns.
• Own and standardize allergen labeling processes across marketplaces and catering, ensuring accurate and consistent guest-facing information.
• Customize and coordinate Compass Group allergen management programs to align with client needs.
• Partner with Culinary, QA, Operations, Procurement, and technology teams to ensure allergen data flows accurately from ingredients and recipes through guest-facing labels.
• Collaborate with CD, Compass QA, and operations teams to manage new technology related to allergen management, including Nextep and Order & Pay kiosks.
• Establish validation and change-management processes to ensure allergen information remains accurate when recipes, ingredients, suppliers, or products change.
• Develop and maintain allergen labeling standards, SOPs, documentation, audit processes, and escalation procedures.
• Conduct ongoing audits and validation, identifying gaps and driving corrective actions to ensure portfolio-wide adherence.
• Support onsite managers in standardizing purchase order guides, maintaining Food Label Books of Record, and ensuring consistent guest-facing allergen communication.
• Serve as the escalation point for client, customer, and associate allergen questions, discrepancies, and concerns.

Education & Training

• Develop, implement, and maintain food allergen training for managers and associates.
• Lead the development and implementation of allergen labeling and management standards, ensuring portfolio-wide adherence through training, education, validation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide tools, resources, and coaching to sustain engagement and consistent program execution.
• Establish, validate, and monitor allergen labeling accuracy, refining SOPs and corrective-action processes to ensure policy adherence.
• Build a culture of food safety, allergen awareness, health, and wellbeing across the portfolio.

Wellbeing & Culinary Integration

• Work closely with the culinary portfolio chef to maintain the recipe database and ensure alignment with Eurest culinary and nutrition standards.
• Partner with marketing to amplify wellbeing and allergen initiatives and increase visibility and guest engagement.
• Ensure consistent integration of wellbeing and accurate allergen labeling into marketplace and catering programs.
• Use insights and analytics to refine strategies, measure program effectiveness, and demonstrate outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Registered Dietitian- Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (AND) Certification and State Licensure, where applicable
• Bachelors degree in food and nutrition or related field of study
• Desired 7+ years professional experience
• Culinary background preferred
• Experience in allergen labeling (packaged foods or restaurant) required
• Project Management experience strongly preferred
• Serve-Safe certification required, but we can train once hired
• Strong management, written and oral communication, and leadership skills, with advanced problem solving-skills and outstanding interpersonal skills
