District Nurse

The District Nurse uses the nursing process, clinical expertise and professional judgement to design and implement health service programs that ensure that all students receive the optimum benefit from their educational experiences. The District Nurse works with the multidisciplinary team to meet the physical, emotional and social health needs of the student. The District Nurse works directly with and is supervised by the Lead District Nurse.

Requirements / Qualifications

BSN from Accredited Institution California Issued RN License Valid Public Health Nursing Certificate School Audiometrist Certificate to be completed within 6 mos of hire date Valid CPR and First Aid Certification Preliminary/Clear School Nurse Services Credential (this can be obtained post job offer)

Certificate Copy (Valid Public Health Nursing Certificate)
Certification (School Audiometrist Certificate (can be obtained within first 6 months of employment))
CPR/First Aid Certification
Credential Copy (Preliminary/Clear Standard Designated Services with a Specialization in Health)
Letter of Introduction
