Job Description:
We are seeking experienced RNs for a 32-bed Telemetry/Neuro unit on a 13-week travel contract. This unit cares primarily for cardiac, neurological/stroke, and seizure patients, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 (day shift) and 1:6 (night shift). RNs are responsible for titrating drips such as Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin, and Cardizem, and must read their own cardiac strips each shift using GE telemetry monitors (no on-unit Tele Techs). PCTs support the unit at a 12-15 patient ratio, assisting with vitals, ADLs, and phlebotomy. Respiratory equipment (High Flow, BiPAP) may be used short-term, with troubleshooting only required from RNs. The unit uses EPIC charting, allows self and block scheduling, and requires floating and occasional on-call as a last resort.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Neurological care experience required
• Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS
• Comfortable managing telemetry/cardiac drips and reading own strips
