Diesel Mechanic

Position Description Mid‑Level Diesel Technician in Manchester, New Hampshire. Weekly pay of $31.39 per hour with opportunities for bonus and benefits. Carry out standard vehicle maintenance, component inspections, and corrective repairs. Conduct preventive maintenance. Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools. Identify root causes of failures and perform required repairs. Replace defective components as instructed. Perform facility maintenance duties. Interact with customers/drivers to determine complaint nature once assigned a task. Use Shop Management System and electronic documentation. Work in accordance with federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines. Perform other support duties as required, including Service Island support. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Vocational or Technical Certification or post‑secondary degree (preferred). Basic tools required. Proven mechanical repair experience with automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance of oil changes, brakes, and tires. At least two (2) years of combined classroom training and work experience (preferred). Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred). Must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire. Pass a Ryder Drug Test. Pass a DOT physical. Pass a Ryder road test.
