Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Data Center Technician 1 to join our dynamic team in Ashburn, VA, 20147. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our data center operations. If you have a passion for technology and a knack for troubleshooting, this is the perfect opportunity for you to grow your career in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain data center equipment, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on servers and network devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating when necessary.
- Assist with the installation and configuration of new hardware and software.
- Document all maintenance activities and updates in the system.
- Collaborate with team members to implement best practices for data center operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency situations as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- Basic understanding of data center operations and IT infrastructure.
- Familiarity with server hardware, networking concepts, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
