The distillery focuses on traditional North Carolina whiskey alongside innovative offerings that highlight regional character and flavor. Current products include a classic North Carolina whiskey, blueberry whiskey, aged North Carolina whiskey, rum, bourbon and 100% rye. Team members join a small, hands‑on operation where quality, craftsmanship, and hospitality are central to the guest experience. Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to oversee our daily bar operations. In this role, you will lead our front‑of‑house team, manage all inventory and POS systems, curate seasonal drink recipes/menus featuring our distilled spirits, create schedules, act as the main point of contact for event planning and pricing, and ensure every guest has an exceptional experience. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a deep knowledge of mixology, strong business acumen, and a passion for hospitality. Key Responsibilities Lead the Team: Recruit, hire, train, and schedule bartenders. Crosstrain with our tasting room to be knowledgeable about the spirits we distill and offer. Manage Inventory: Order spirits, beer, wine, and supplies while keeping costs within budget. Boost Profitability: Design innovative cocktail menus, set profitable drink prices, and track daily sales. Maintain Quality: Enforce strict health, safety, and sanitation standards across the bar area. Ensure Compliance: Monitor alcohol service to ensure full compliance with all local liquor laws. Handle Operations: Open and close the venue, manage cash drawers, and resolve customer complaints gracefully. Skills & Qualifications Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Bar Manager, Assistant Manager, or Lead Bartender. Knowledge: Deep understanding of craft cocktails, beer, wine, and current industry trends. Tech Savvy: Proficiency with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Square) and inventory management software. Leadership: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to motivate a team during high‑stress, busy shifts. Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
