Tax Senior Project Manager, Digital Transformation & Innovation (Senior Manager) Job Summary The Tax Senior Project Manager is a key leader within BDO Tax Digital Transformation and Innovation team, focusing on managing and delivering technology development projects. The role requires strong leadership, project management expertise, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Responsibilities Oversee project planning and implementation for technology development projects. Collaborate with Product Manager and Deployment Lead to align projects with product objectives and company goals. Use a hybrid waterfall / agile approach to manage scopes, timelines, and resources. Manage project financials and budget versus actual projections. Use project management tools to track progress and report to stakeholders. Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams and stakeholders. Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies. Maintain and update project documentation throughout lifecycle. Conduct post-project evaluations to capture learnings. Lead large‑scale, complex programs delivered within budget and scope. Conduct regular status meetings and reviews with stakeholders. Other duties as required. Supervisory Responsibilities Mentor and coach junior project managers and team members. Serve as a career advisor when assigned. Education and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (required), preferably in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology. Eight (8) or more years of project management experience, including mentoring and software development lifecycle (required). Eight (8) or more years as a project manager or similar tech‑focused role (preferred). Experience in tax or accounting professional services (preferred). Experience working with multinational teams (preferred). Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification, preferred. Scrum Master or Agile Certified Practitioner, preferred. Proficiency in project management tools, required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong collaboration, facilitation, and organizational skills. Strong knowledge of project management principles and software development lifecycle. Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work in a deadline‑driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Self‑motivated and disciplined, passionate about coaching others. Ability to interact effectively with professionals at all levels.
