Element by Marriott Indianapolis Carmel, a part of Ascent Hospitality, is seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Worker to join our Engineering Team. This position plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of the Engineering Department while helping maintain a safe, comfortable, clean, and exceptional guest environment. Make an Impact Every Day At Element by Marriott Indianapolis Carmel, our Engineering Team is responsible for maintaining a safe, comfortable, clean, and well-functioning property for our guests and team members. If you enjoy hands-on work, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and taking pride in keeping a hotel running smoothly, we would love to meet you. What You Will Do: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel. Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and guest needs. Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building repairs. Inspect and maintain guest rooms and suites, public areas, fitness areas, indoor pool areas, guest laundry, back-of-house areas, and exterior spaces. Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, lighting, appliances, kitchenettes, and hotel equipment. Complete assigned maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently. Assist the Engineering team with preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled projects. Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas in a clean and organized manner. Communicate maintenance concerns, safety issues, and equipment problems to the Engineering leadership team. Assist with property improvement projects, repairs, inspections, and renovations as needed. Support outside vendors and contractors while working on hotel property. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and exceptional service. Help ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, safety requirements, and company policies. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning property that exceeds guest expectations.
