Serving as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI), you will be instrumental in crafting accessible learning environments and collaborating with a supportive team of educational professionals.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Indiana TVI (Teacher for the Visually Impaired) License
• Previous experience, coursework, or student teaching with children or adolescents who are visually impaired
• Ability to effectively adapt and modify curriculum for students with visual impairments
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative services to K-12 students on an assigned caseload
• Assess functional vision and learning media, and recommend appropriate accommodations
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to ensure accessible instruction and materials
• Provide training for staff and family members on best practices for supporting visually impaired learners
• Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines

Position Details:

• Contract position running from November 2, 2026, to June 7, 2027
• 35 hours per week, working with students across a range of grade levels
