Registered Nurse Operating Room Nights

Primary City/State: Casper, Wyoming Department: Surg‑Hosp Shift: Night Category: Nursing Sign‑on bonus: $15,000 Full‑time position: 3 × 12‑hour night shifts per week with on‑call responsibilities. Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse – must have experience in an OR setting. Duty at a Level II Trauma Center, performing diverse surgeries (ENT, cardiac, general, orthopedic, neurosurgery, plastic, robotic, vascular). Banner Wyoming Medical Center is a 249‑bed Level II trauma center located in Casper, Wyoming. Core Functions Assess patient, family, and team needs (physical, psychological, social, cultural, spiritual, developmental). Review history, diagnostics, lab results and report abnormalities. Complete assessments and reassessments as required. Formulate and revise a plan of care, including discharge planning, based on assessment data and multidisciplinary input. Implement care, coordinate, delegate, and supervise team activities. Provide nursing supervision and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Evaluate patient progress and teaching effectiveness, adjust plan as needed. Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records. Provide evidence‑based care and participate in research and shared leadership activities. Contribute to quality improvement activities and professional organizations. When applicable, supervise staff and department workflow. Interact with all levels of staff, patients, families, external contacts, and provide spiritual support as needed. Minimum Qualifications Current, valid RN license in the state of practice (or compact RN licensure). BLS certification. Experience as an RN in an acute care setting within the past 12 months. Experience in the designated specialty area (Operating Room). A minimum of one year in an acute care hospital setting is required for Banner Registry and Travel positions. Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance for Home Health positions. Required background checks and clearances as applicable to the specific location. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field. Professional certification (e.g., RN‑OR). Prior experience in a Level II trauma center.
