Office Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:30 am- 4:30 pm/Friday 8:30 am- 1:30 pm.

We are seeking a dynamic leader to join The Attachment and Trauma Institute at a time of exciting growth. For 20 years, ATI has served individuals and families throughout Central Virginia through trauma-informed, attachment-focused care. Guided by integrity, ethical practice, excellence, and teamwork, we are looking for a leader who will support our dedicated team and help shape the next chapter of our work in Central Virginia.

The Clinical Program Manager leads clinical practice across the Attachment and Trauma Institute (ATI), supporting trauma informed, attachment focused care for children, adults, and families.

Clinical Leadership and Program Oversight:

• Provide clinical oversight across ATI services, including intensive in-home services, mental health skill building, outpatient counseling, therapeutic visitation, mentoring, and parent education or coaching, as applicable to current programs.
• Guide admission, continued service, transition, discharge, and referral decisions based on clinical need, service fit, authorization, and the applicable program model.
• Lead case consultation and treatment team discussions for complex cases; promote coordinated, individualized care and sound clinical judgment.
• Partner with the Executive Director and Director of Administration on clinical capacity, service development, staffing needs, and operational workflows.

Supervision and Staff Development:

• Provide regular clinical supervision, consultation, coaching, and performance feedback to supervisees, within the scope of the Program Manager’s license and qualifications.
• Set clear expectations for clinical practice, documentation, timeliness, productivity, and professional conduct; address concerns promptly and document follow-up.
• Support clinical hiring, onboarding, orientation, training, and competency development in collaboration with agency leadership.
• Ensure appropriate clinical coverage and escalation when staff need guidance on urgent or high-risk matters.

Clinical Risk Management:

• Serve as the clinical lead for risk assessment, safety planning, crisis consultation, incident review, and escalation of serious clinical concerns.
• Guide staff response to concerns involving suicide or violence risk, abuse allegations, client safety, and the need for a higher level of care; coordinate with emergency or community partners when clinically appropriate.
• Review risk trends and incidents with leadership, recommend corrective action, and follow through on clinical improvements.
• Maintain clear records of clinical consultation, decisions, and follow-up in accordance with ATI policy and applicable requirements.

Assessments and Clinical Documentation:

• Active participation in assessment process completion.
• Participates in assessment coordination with referral and administrative staff, including assignment, scheduling priorities, completion, review, and timely handoff to treatment teams.
• Review assessments, service plans, progress notes, reports, and discharge records for clinical quality, medical necessity where applicable, accuracy, and timeliness.

Quality and Compliance:

• Work with Quality Assurance Manager and Director of Administration on chart review, utilization concerns, clinical audits, performance improvement, and corrective action follow-up.
• Keep clinical practice aligned with applicable Virginia licensing, Medicaid, payer, contract, professional board, and agency requirements; communicate relevant changes to staff.
• Develop and refine clinical policies, protocols, training, and standards of practice in partnership with agency leadership.

Marketing & Community Engagement:

• Coordinate clinically appropriate communication with families, referral sources, localities, managed care organizations, schools, and community providers.
• Represent ATI at relevant community events, referral meetings, and professional partnerships, and support outreach that reflects the agency’s mission.
• Involved in active community-engagement, strengthening ATI’s visibility as a leader in attachment-focused, trauma-informed services. Develops relationships with schools, DSS agencies, community organizations, healthcare providers, and other referral partners while overseeing digital marketing, social media, educational outreach, events, and brand consistency.
• Responsible for increasing awareness of ATI’s clinical services and developing sustainable referral pipelines throughout Central Virginia. Builds and maintains relationships with referral sources, creates targeted outreach campaigns, tracks referral trends and marketing outcomes, coordinates professional presentations and community events, and ensures ATI’s messaging accurately communicates its specialized attachment, trauma, and family-systems approach.

Qualifications:

• Current independent clinical license in Virginia, such as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT; eligibility to provide clinical or licensure supervision as required for assigned staff.
• Five or more years of experience providing behavioral health services to children and families, including clinical supervision or management across community-based programs.
• Strong knowledge of trauma informed care, attachment and family systems, clinical assessment, diagnosis, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
• Working knowledge of applicable Virginia Medicaid and behavioral health requirements for community-based services
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance for duties requiring travel.
