Welder

Welder As a welder you will perform MIG welding as well as manage machines that manufacture and repair metal structures. To excel in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of welding machinery equipment. The successful candidate will also have a steady hand and outstanding attention to detail. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding, loading, and unloading weld fixtures. Move parts from station to station. Robot fixture tending. Support manufacturing to achieve safety, productivity and quality targets through process design, optimization projects and Kaizen initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong work ethic, on-time attendance performance, with a high degree of reliability is required to be successful in this role. Good mechanical aptitude and skills required. Must interact positively and effectively with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors. Enough physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs. repeatedly); standing and walking for prolonged periods of time; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, working overhead and operating motorized equipment. Must be able to work flexible hours. Education / Experience : High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) required Must be able to pass welding certification within 30 days of hire. 2 years manufacturing welding experience, preferred. Prior ability and experience to read blue prints, required. 100% of your time is on the manufacturing facility floor. This position requires employee to frequently work in a fluid, fast paced environment. No travel is required in this role.
