Our organization’s Department of Neurology - Epilepsy Division , recognized as the largest program for epileptologists in the country , is on the lookout for skilled epileptologists to join our diverse team. As we broaden our neurological services throughout the system, we invite applications for full-time BC/BE Epilepsy Physicians at the following locations:

Manhattan

• Lenox Hill Hospital

Nassau County

• North Shore University Hospital (Manhasset)

Staten Island

• Staten Island University Hospital

Westchester

• Northern Westchester Hospital

About the Program

Our Epilepsy program boasts two hospitals accredited as Level 4 NAEC centers (North Shore University Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital) and two others recognized as Level 3 NAEC centers (South Shore University Hospital and Staten Island University Hospital).

The Department of Neurology has experienced significant growth over the past five years, aiming to deliver comprehensive and integrated healthcare and wellness services. Being part of this service line allows for collaboration with a large network of neurologists, participation in academic teaching, world-class grand rounds, and conferences, as well as opportunities to discuss and share cases with specialists across various subspecialties. Within our Institute for Neurology , we have three hospitals ranked among the top 50 by U.S. News & World Report, with North Shore University Hospital achieving the highest rank at #22 nationally. Additionally, we operate four comprehensive stroke programs, 11 primary stroke centers, and one thrombectomy-capable center.

Position Highlights

Our interdisciplinary team comprises nationally recognized specialists, including epilepsy neurologists, neurosurgeons, nurses, nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, and EEG technicians. We utilize cutting-edge treatments for evaluating epilepsy, managing seizures, and addressing comorbidities associated with epilepsy. The Department of Neurology integrates the extensive resources of our organization and the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell to provide top-tier care while contributing to research initiatives. Moreover, there are no general neurology responsibilities associated with this position.

Candidate Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Doctoral degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or equivalent)
• Completion of a Neurology Residency and Epilepsy Fellowship
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology and Epilepsy
• Must hold or be eligible for a physician license in the State of New York

Full-time clinical base compensation within our organization ranges from $125K to $750K, influenced by various factors such as specialty, experience level, quality of care, academic achievements, patient satisfaction, and productivity. The stated compensation range reflects a good faith estimate of potential base pay at the time of this job posting and may be subject to change.
