Practice Overview Hancock County Health System - Garner Clinic is a busy outpatient practice offering comprehensive care from newborn to end of life with no OB services (OB Shared Care optional). The team currently includes three physicians and one advanced practice provider. Practice Features Immediate patient volume No on‑call duties Emergency/ inpatient coverage with extra pay Access to specialists including general surgery, cataract surgery, vein procedures, cardiology, ENT, nephrology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, neurology, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, dermatology, weight management, and more On‑site laboratory, X‑ray, ultrasound (including Echo), MRI, CT, mammography, nuclear medicine, PT, OT, RT, and ER services 25‑bed critical access hospital and primary care clinic serving 12,000 residents of Hancock County Level IV area trauma care facility; affiliate of MercyOne North Iowa, a Level III trauma center and regional referral teaching center Location & Community Garner, Iowa (population 3,000). Located 20 miles west of Mason City, 2 hours north of Des Moines, and 2.5 hours south of Minneapolis. The community offers a rich history, recreational facilities, and a high quality of life. Candidate Requirements Board certification or eligibility: BC/BE within 3 years of becoming eligible Eligible for State of Iowa physician license, Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate, and Federal DEA Certificate Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program Ability to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges Strong communication skills and teamwork ability Completed EEO/drug screen required Compensation & Benefits Base salary $301,290 + production Bonus package $150,000 34 days PTO (on base); 40 days PTO (on production) Annual CME allowance $4,000 Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Short-term and long-term disability 403(b) retirement with employer contribution and matching; optional 457(b) deferred compensation plan Benefits start day 1 of employment Professional liability insurance and tail coverage Employment Conditions Position is contingent upon successful completion of references, background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen.
