Power Distribution Panel Fabrication Specialist

You’ll transform components into finished switchgear and breaker units that meet rigorous engineering drawings and customer specifications. Using the master copy, spec sheet, front elevation, and WO files, you’ll turn documentation into dependable power distribution products.

• Build mechanical assemblies for switchgear/breakers exactly to spec.
• Maintain tools; use hand/power tools safely and effectively.
• Run in-process inspections; apply standard work and surface quality risks.
• Track shortages and keep production moving.
• Execute ship-prep activities, including splitting gear, to meet delivery targets.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis on engineering changes and drive discrepancy corrections.
• Support a small team at the direction of a lead assembler/supervisor.
• Complete final in-process inspections and mechanical adjustments for switchgear.
• Champion safety, attend safety meetings, and keep your workspace clean and organized.

From mastering three-line drawings to documenting HFDs and applying ISO-aligned practices, you’ll expand your technical toolkit while contributing to continuous improvement and on-time delivery.

FLSA Status

Non-Exempt

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2–4 years of manufacturing experience—ideally assembling medium/large metal enclosures or electrical switchgear.
• Proficient with tape-measure reading and conversions (fraction/decimal; metric/imperial).
• Basic English literacy (written and verbal) and desktop computing.
• Safe operation of hand/power tools; able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• MES fundamentals; Oracle preferred.

• Read spec sheets; select hardware per requirements.
• Interpret single-line and three-line drawings and symbols.
• Execute change orders correctly.
• Identify discrepancies; write HFDs to initiate corrections.
• Understand mechanical drawings and design intent.
• Follow direction from Lead Assemblers; meet commitments reliably.
• Self-driven, organized, and results-focused; challenges the status quo to improve outcomes.
• Adaptable to new ideas, technologies, processes, and product revisions.
• Customer-first mindset; acts with integrity and sound judgment.
• Accurate, thorough, dependable; collaborates well across departments.

• Safety-sensitive position in a temperature-controlled manufacturing/industrial environment with occasional outside work.
• PPE required: safety shoes, hard hats/bump caps, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety harnesses as needed, and respirators when required.
• Work from ladders (step, A-frame, etc.); operate at heights up to ~20 ft with proper lift and Fall Protection Equipment.

• Maintain balance and agility while walking, standing, crouching, and climbing stairs/ladders.
• Bend at waist and knees; extend arms/hands freely.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently work with both arms above shoulder height and at full reach.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent use of hand and power tools.
