Job Title: Machine Operator Location: Mentor, OH Zip Code: 44060 Area Code: 440 Pay Rate: $27.65 – could go higher for the right candidate Shift: 2nd Shift – 2:30pm – 11:30pm Start Date: Right Away Keywords: Machine Operator Jobs, Mentor Jobs Benefits Medical / Health Benefits with multiple plan options, Flexible Spending Accounts, Dental and Vision 401(k) On the job training / cross-training Life Insurance, disability insurance Voluntary life insurance for family members available Accident and critical illness insurance optional Scheduled performance reviews Referral program Essential Functions Perform repetitive machine operations (including reworking parts) such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, reaming and smoothing parts Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures where established methods are followed Visually inspect parts for burrs and damaged machine surface Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks cracks or other irregularities from machined parts Inspect parts for conformance to specifications by visual examination and the use of gauges or other measuring instruments Accurately and regularly perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations while maintaining a clean work area in orderly condition Read analog / digital MICS / COMPAIRTORS / PROFILOMETER Strong lathe background preferred Perform other related responsibilities Qualifications HS Diploma or equivalent Must have manual machining experience Minimum 7-10 years general or related machine shop experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities Must demonstrate manual dexterity Must be able to read and understand blueprints Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics Must demonstrate effective English verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player Benefit & Retirement Plans Comprehensive coverage for medical, prescription drugs, dental, vision, voluntary optional life, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance and critical illness insurance with competitive premium cost. 401(k) Plan with company matching contributions at 100% of the first 5% of pay Company provided defined-contribution retirement plan with annual contribution equal to 3% of pay Career development and tuition reimbursement Other benefits including paid parental leave, short and long-term disability programs, adoption assistance, a Care.com membership and financial planning assistance are provided at no cost to you.
