Salary Range: $47,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Grand Haven seeking Quality Inspectors who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action procedures as required.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections according to established quality plans and standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product compliance.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with various measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and CMM operation
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software.
• Certification in quality control (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).
• Ability to interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in using a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) or other automated inspection equipment.
