CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12 hour Night shifts from 19:30 to 08:00.

The CVICU Registered Nurse will provide critical care to cardiac surgery patients. This role includes managing patients post-operatively and during complex cardiovascular interventions, ensuring high standards of care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide intensive care and monitoring for cardiac surgery patients undergoing procedures such as CABG and valve replacements.
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions as required.
• Perform necessary interventions such as arterial line management and central line care.
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions, including EKG interpretations and dysrhythmias.
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and perform suctioning as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active MD RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience required.
• Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic.
• Previous charge or leadership experience preferred.
