CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

CNC Setup MachinistEaton's Aerospace Division is currently seeking a CNC Setup Machinist on 2nd Shift at our Charleston, SC facility. Relocation is offered on this role. The core hours for third shift are 3pm-11pm Monday - Friday.The rate for this position is $26.50-$29/hour + $2.50 shift differential.This position is currently offering a sign-on bonus of $3,000*; less applicable withholding.*Bonus terms • Bonuses are being offered for a limited time only.• Bonuses are only applicable to specific job types and shifts; additional terms and conditions may apply.• Associates must be employed at the time of the payout.• Bonuses will be paid out in two installments: $1,000 less applicable withholding in the first (1st) paycheck. Remaining $2,000 less applicable withholding will be paid out after six (6) months of employment.Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.To see our full benefits and compensation package, check out: Eaton BenefitsSalaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What You'll Do:The setup machinist will lead the transition/changeover between production runs on various CNC machines such as mills and lathes then operate select machines through the remainder of the production run while ensuring quality parts from the work cell.Properly set tools in machine locations required for set-up & perform part changeover including program retrieval and inputEstablish work offsets (G54, G55, etc.) manually and utilizing probing technologyRead, understand, and reset CNC machine program codesCalculate and input axis coordinates for CNC machines up to 3 axis's or use a spindle probe to determine work offsetsUtilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing results to make adjustments to work offsetsQualifications:Required Qualifications:Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills in a manufacturing or operations environment; OR an Associate's degree or higher in machining or manufacturing related discipline.A minimum of one (1) years experience setting up CNC lathes and/or millsThis position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158. Relocation is offered. Candidate must reside within 50 miles of Charleston, SC; or be willing to reside within this region, to be considered for this role. Must currently live within the United States.Preferred:Technical degree in manufacturing, machining, or related fieldExperience operating a variety of manual machines (lathes, mills, jig bore, grinders, etc.)Position Criteria:Able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches including proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Able to perform basic shop math.A demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
