CNC Setup Machinist – Milling

Location: Riviera Beach, FL
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:45am-4:15pm
Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Summary

KeyStaff is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist – Milling for RGF Environmental in Riviera Beach, FL.

We are looking for a skilled, hands-on machinist who can independently set up and operate CNC milling machines. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC milling experience, be comfortable performing complete machine setups, and have experience working with CNC controls. Experience with CENTROID CNC controls is highly preferred.

This is not an entry-level CNC operator position. Candidates should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and troubleshoot machining issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate CNC milling machines
• Perform complete machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, workholding, and offsets
• Operate CNC equipment utilizing CENTROID controls
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters for each job
• Set and adjust tool and work offsets
• Make necessary machine and program adjustments during production
• Monitor machining operations and troubleshoot issues
• Perform tool changes and identify worn or damaged tooling
• Inspect completed parts for accuracy and quality
• Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Maintain required dimensions and tolerances
• Complete production documentation accurately
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on CNC equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures
• Communicate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CNC Setup Machinist, CNC Mill Machinist, or similar position
• Must be able to independently set up and operate CNC milling machines
• Strong CNC milling and machining knowledge
• Experience performing complete machine setups
• Experience with CENTROID CNC controls preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, offsets, and workholding
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
• Ability to troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to maintain accuracy and quality while working with tight tolerances
• Manufacturing or machine shop experience
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Experience

• CENTROID CNC controls
• G-code and M-code
• CNC program editing
• Machining various types of metals
• Tight-tolerance machining
• Production manufacturing environment

Compensation

$25.00–$30.00 per hour, based on CNC setup, milling, programming, and overall machining experience.
