Duties

Help

• Establishes plans and schedules for maintenance and repair, using multiple process production methods and procedures for a variety of vehicles and equipment.
• Ensures Modified Table of Organization and Equipment or Table of Distribution and Allowances reportable Line Item Numbers are properly managed, reported and accounted to readiness reports, property accountability reports, and system management.
• Programs workload, shop space, and available personnel on a short and long-term basis.
• Ensures that unit Class 9 (CL IX) accounts are funded, budgeted, and executed to maximize readiness.
• Designates and maintains current maintenance priorities by Force Activity Designator, pacing items, Equipment Readiness Codes (ERC) A, B, and C equipment type, available funds, commander's priority, state/national priorities, and unit supported.
• Analyzes repair methods and develops control procedures and policies to assure accomplishment of programs to meet priorities and deadlines established by higher authority or support activities.
• Provides technical guidance and oversight to a lower-graded Production Controller.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard.
• Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

• Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance designated at the State through the use of the Position Designation Tool.
• This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
• Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
• May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; over/comp time may be required.
• May require travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
• The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver's license is mandatory.
• This is an Indefinite temporary position with an initial term not to exceed 24 months. While it offers potential extension up to 60 months and permanent conversion potential, it serves as a backfill for an employee on USERRA.
• Consequently, the position's duration and status are subject to legal requirements and the return of the incumbent.

Qualifications

MILITARY GRADES: E-3 through E-8, CW1 through CW2

COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: ** Warrant Officer Branch (WOBR): 91, 92, 94. Enlisted Career Management Field (ECMF) 91, 92, 94. Enlisted MOS (EMOS): 88M**

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity.

AND

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training scheduling workflow in more than one area and responsible for coordinating products or materials from support activities. Experience in performing or supervising journeyman level work in a production facility. Experience preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.

**FWS POSITIONS ONLY**: Specialized Experience Requirements for NGB Federal Wage System Positions for claiming civilian job experience: Creditable experience must have been performed at least 30 consecutive days and be properly documented.

Experience in the same line of work can only be credited on the basis of a regular 40-hour workweek. Hours per week MUST be documented on resume to receive any credit.
