PRN Occupational Therapist

Role: Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) providing PRN (as-needed) rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing facility. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat geriatric patients with complex medical, cognitive, and functional needs. Develop individualized treatment plans to enhance mobility, daily living skills, and overall independence. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, physicians, speech therapists, and physical therapists, to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care. Perform adaptive equipment training, fall prevention strategies, and patient/caregiver education. Work flexibly across varying schedules and patient acuity levels to ensure high-quality care. Qualifications & Skills Current license and registration to practice as an OT in NY. Valid malpractice insurance and license in good standing. Strong commitment to compassionate, quality care. Energetic, enthusiastic, patient, and team-oriented. Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently, under pressure, and harmoniously with staff. Vaccination against COVID-19 encouraged but not required. Additional Information The role may include Sunday coverage with additional opportunities for extra coverage.
