Position Details Job Code #: JC-523131 Position #: View phone number on click.appcast.io‑XXX Working Title: CALTRANS HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE WORKER (PI) Classification: CALTRANS HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE WORKER Salary: $4,102.00 – $4,865.00 # of Positions: Multiple Work Location: Riverside County Telework: In Office Job Type: Permanent Intermittent – 1500 Hours Job Description and Duties Under the general direction of a Caltrans Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent performs a variety of labor‑related tasks in support of maintaining the State highway system. The incumbent assists the supervisor with team engagement and coordination of daily activities. Duties may also include operating Caltrans equipment as assigned. Eligibility and Qualifications Eligibility may be determined by score on the Caltrans Highway Maintenance Worker exam. Candidates without current eligibility must be on the state examination list. Minimum qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment; applicants must provide unofficial transcripts or diplomas if basing eligibility on education. Foreign transcripts/degrees must be accompanied by a U.S. equivalency report from an approved agency. Special Requirements Drug screening must be passed prior to hiring.
