Founding Marketing Lead Build the Growth Engine (Equity)

We take unstructured customer requests, emails, PDFs, and handwritten notes and turn them into accurate ERP quotes in seconds. We work in person, move quickly, and care deeply about our customers. The Role We're looking for our first Marketing Lead to build BoltWise's marketing function from the ground up. This is a founding-level role with the opportunity to define how the market discovers, understands, and buys BoltWise. You'll work directly with our founders, reporting directly to our CEO, in a high-trust, high-agency environment, owning marketing strategy and execution end to end. Our strongest traction has come from building relationships in person through trade shows, executive dinners, and industry events. You'll double down on what works while building the broader marketing engine that powers our next stage of growth. What You'll Own You'll own BoltWise's marketing strategy and budget end to end, deciding where to focus, what channels to test, how to allocate spend, and how to most effectively support enterprise growth. You'll work closely with founders and the sales team to build and execute the playbooks, systems, and programs that become the foundation of our marketing function. Your work will span a wide range of initiatives to support enterprise pipeline generation, and we will look to you to ruthlessly prioritize based on what is working and what is not. Ownership areas include: Events & field marketing Partner marketing Brand work, positioning & messaging Content & social Paid & digital Marketing operations, analytics & reporting Events and field marketing will be your biggest near-term priority. We've seen the strongest traction by building relationships with enterprise customers in person, and we're excited to invest further in that motion. Who You Are Startup experience. You've been at a startup before, ideally as the first marketing hire. You enjoy owning a function with no team and no existing playbook. Comfortable wearing many hats. You've juggled events, content, digital, and outreach at the same time. You're comfortable switching between strategy and execution as priorities evolve. Bias toward action. You're energized by ownership, thrive in ambiguity, and are comfortable making decisions with imperfect information. Data-driven. You're comfortable analyzing pipeline and marketing performance data, and you translate what you learn into clear reporting for leadership. Willing and able to travel frequently. This role is on the road often: trade shows, customer cities, dinners with prospects. Creative and resourceful. You're comfortable proposing something untested, trying it, and moving on quickly if it doesn't work. Direct communicator. You tell it straight, with leadership and across the team, about what's working and what isn't. What the First 90 Days Look Like 30 You've mapped the highest-value events and conferences for the rest of the year, met the sales team to understand who the enterprise targets are, and formed a point of view on where BoltWise has the greatest opportunity to grow. 60 You're representing BoltWise at industry events, launching new field marketing or partner initiatives, and developing a thoughtful marketing investment strategy, with a clear rationale for where to double down and where to continue experimenting. 90 You have a clear marketing strategy in motion, a growing pipeline of enterprise opportunities attributable to your work, and a repeatable content and brand engine running in the background while you focus on the highest-impact growth initiatives.
