Receiving Team Lead - PACS

The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future.

The EA Business Unit in Wendell, North Carolina, which is its U.S. headquarters, focuses on electric-vehicle charging, photovoltaic inverters, medium-voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services, and solutions, including automation. Additionally, assembly of electric-vehicle chargers, low-voltage motor control centers, and retrofit and replacement circuit breakers occurs at the facility. 

We are looking for a Receiving Team Lead. This position will be based at our Wendell, NC location.

As a Receiving Lead, you will manage all aspects of receiving. Our Receiving Lead position requires basic warehousing skills. The preferred candidates would be responsible for all aspects of material handling. Candidates will be handling inbound materials, auditing, replenishment, and will also perform put-away and inventory tasks.

As the Receiving Team Lead, you will:

• Safely operates a stand-up reach truck, stand-up order picker, and sit-down forklift in high traffic areas and narrow aisles.
• Efficient with small hand tools, battery, electrical, & air power tools.
• Adhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improve.
• Responsible for the accurate receipt of incoming materials, supplies, and products.
• Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, inspects condition, and files damage claims with carriers.
• Records received items according to established procedures.
• Maintain and manage inventory.
• Ensure 5S+, 8 Wastes mitigation, and other Lean principles (VSM, Kaizens, Standard Work, etc) are applied in the team / area.
• Empower team and actively takes part in the cleaning of equipment and work area to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
• Assist in training of new employees and requesting SAP system access required.
• Performs other work as directed by the Warehouse Manager

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: 

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the receiving department of a manufacturing plant.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with Forklifts (Reach truck, sit down, Cherry pickers)
• Proficient in using SAP – ERP system and RF Devices.
• Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and resolve conflict in a professional manner.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or a related position.
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties/projects at one time
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

• Leadership experience
• +5S/6S
• +Problem solving (A3, 8D, etc)
