Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Cape Girardeau, Missouri . This assignment combines clinic and call coverage within an established hospital-based maternity program with approximately 600 annual deliveries , robust L&D resources, and scheduled midwife support.

The need encompasses approximately 20 days of coverage per month , including 24-hour call and OB/GYN emergency consultations.

Labor & Delivery Environment

Practice within an established maternity program featuring 18 private labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms , two dedicated C-section operating rooms , a well-baby nursery, and VBAC capability.

The clinical support model includes:

• 24/7 anesthesia/CRNA support
• 24/7 respiratory therapy
• Surgical first assist
• Minimum 2 L&D RNs , with staffing increased as needed
• 2 NICU nurses
• 1 OB tech
• Midwife backup support as scheduled
• Level III NICU located adjacent to Labor & Delivery

Clinical Scope

The locum physician will support the hospital's obstetric and gynecologic service through scheduled clinic coverage, 24-hour OB call , deliveries, and OB/GYN emergency consultations. With no dedicated laborist incorporated into the client-described coverage model, the physician should be comfortable providing independent OB/GYN coverage while working alongside the established L&D, anesthesia, neonatal, surgical, and midwifery teams.
