Job Details Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Setting: Acute care Cardio Thoracic unit Location: Peoria, Illinois 61637 Start Date: 8/31/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 12-hour day shifts Hours: 36 hours per week Shift Duration: 12 hours Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250 Charting System: EPIC Floating: May float to other general medical units Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Rotation as assigned Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois or confirmation that the application process has been initiated BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred Strong EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills Experience titrating drips, including Cardizem and heparin Ability to provide safe, independent care in a fast-paced acute care environment Willingness to complete a drug screen and comply with facility requirements Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult cardio thoracic telemetry patients Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status Manage common diagnoses such as MI, CHF, atrial fibrillation, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, chest tube care, and post-surgical overflow patients Titrate ordered drips according to patient needs and unit protocols Administer medications, perform assessments, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team Support safe patient flow by floating to other general medical units when needed Document accurately in EPIC and maintain high standards of patient safety and communication Work collaboratively with charge nursing, house supervision, telemetry monitoring, and patient care technicians Apply now to join this travel nursing opportunity in Peoria, Illinois and advance your career in telemetry nursing with a trusted healthcare team.
