Job Details Employment Type: Travel RN Job Title: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Setting: Acute care cardio-thoracic telemetry unit Location: Peoria, IL 61637 Start Date: 8/31/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift Duration: 12-hour nights Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation required Floating: May float to other general medical units Charting System: EPIC Job Requirements Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care nursing or telemetry nursing experience required Current BLS certification required ACLS certification recommended Strong EKG interpretation skills required Ability to titrate drips, including Cardizem and heparin Comfort caring for adult telemetry and cardio-thoracic patients Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently EPIC experience preferred Must be comfortable working in a drug-free campus environment and meeting pre-employment screening requirements Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a cardio-thoracic telemetry setting Monitor cardiac rhythms and accurately interpret telemetry strips Administer medications and titrate ordered drips according to protocol Care for patients with MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, pacemakers, AICDs, and post-thoracic surgery needs Support patients with chest tubes, esophagectomy recovery, and general medical overflow needs Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in EPIC Contribute to a professional, patient-centered, and efficient acute care unit environment Ready to take the next step in your travel nursing career?
